The FSSAI registration procedure and process are stated below. • FSSAI Basic Registration is for any small food business owner. FBOs can register with Registering Authority (RA) by giving an application for registration along with a fee of Rs.100/-. • Application in Form-A has to be submitted along with a fee of Rs.100/-. • Get a unique application reference number. • After following the above-mentioned procedure, the RA may accept or reject the registration. Reasons must be recorded in writing within seven days of receipt of the application registered by the food business operator. • If the application is accepted, the food business operator may commence operations. • If necessary, the RA may order an inspection. • The inspection shall be ordered within seven days. • If the inspection is granted, the inspection will take place within 30 days. • If the procedure is successfully completed, registration may continue and the food business operator may commence its activities.
